Forwarding Your Domain Name to Your Reseller Storefront

Forwarding a domain name to your reseller storefront lets you use your own domain name of your choice for your storefront instead of the default URL.

The default URL for your reseller storefront is https://www.securepaynet.net/?prog_id=***, where *** is your program ID (Prog ID). This long URL is difficult to remember and hard to market. We recommend registering a domain name that supports your reseller branding, and then forwarding it to the default URL.

NOTE: To locate your storefront's URL, click View Storefront in your Reseller Control Center. You can copy the URL from your browser's address bar.

Forwarding redirects visitors from your domain name, such as coolexample.com, to a URL you specify, such as your storefront URL.

To forward your domain name, you must use our nameservers and your domain name's A record must be 50.63.202.1. For more information, see Setting Nameservers for Your Domain Names and Updating Your Domain Name's IP Address for Forwarding.

NOTE: Domain name masking causes many significant problems with storefronts, such as transaction processing and performance inconsistencies. For more information, see Can I use domain name masking for my Reseller storefront?

To Forward Your Domain Name to Your Reseller Storefront

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. Next to Domains, click Launch.
3. Select the domain name you want to forward.
4. From Forward, select Forward Domain.
5. In the Forward to field, enter your Reseller storefront URL.
6. To automatically update your nameservers to accommodate your forwarding changes, select Update my DNS setting to support this change.

   NOTE: Activating this setting will update your domain name's nameservers and IP address. If you are currently hosting a website for this domain name, the website will no longer be accessible using this domain name once the changes propagate.

7. Click OK.

NOTE: Forwarded domain names can take up to 24-48 hours to activate.
