Entering Payee Tax Information
What kind of payee tax information we require depends on whether or not you are a U.S. citizen.
U.S. Citizens or Legal Residents
You enter your tax information when setting up your payee account. The exact procedure depends on your current residency. Payees who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents can submit tax information using our online form. Foreign payees cannot submit tax information online. Instead, foreign payees must complete the applicable forms and fax or email them to us.
To Add a Payee Account for a U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Select Payee Accounts.
- Click Create Payee.
- Select I am a U.S. person (including U.S. resident alien).
- Enter all applicable tax information, and then click Submit.
Non-U.S. Citizens or Residents
Foreign payees (payees who are neither U.S. citizens nor permanent U.S. residents) cannot submit their tax information through our electronic online forms. Instead, foreign payees must complete the applicable forms and fax or email them to us.
To Add a Foreign Payee Account
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Click Payee Accounts.
- Click Create Payee.
- Select I am a foreign person.
- Download and complete the applicable IRS W-8 Form (i.e., W-8BEN or W-8ECI).
- Fax the completed form and cover sheet to (480) 275-3996, or email the form to taxforms@securepaynet.net
NOTE: Include the login name and payee name for your account with your fax or email message.
