Adding a Website Protection Site Scanner Seal to a WordPress Site
After your WordPress® site successfully passes a Website Protection Site Scanner scan, you can install the Site Scanner site seal to show visitors that your site is free of vulnerabilities.
You must edit the Footer code for the theme of your WordPress site to add the Site Scanner site seal. We recommend that you create a backup before you make changes.
See Retrieving Your Website Protection Site Scanner Seal Code for steps to retrieve your Site Scanner seal code.
To Add a Site Scanner Site Seal on a WordPress Site
- Log in to your WordPress Dashboard. For example,
http://coolexample.com/wp-admin, where coolexample.com is your domain name. - In the Dashboard, click Appearance.
- Click Editor.
- In the Templates menu on the left, click Footer.
- Paste the code for your site seal into the editor where you want it to display. Make sure it is before the </body> and </head> tags.
- Click Update File.
After you add the code to your site, refresh your website to see the new site seal. If the image isn't where you want it to be, or you can't see it, you might need to move the code in the footer. Refer to the WordPress Codex for more information about modifying your WordPress template.
If you are using a WordPress hosted site, please refer to WordPress Widgets to add an image for your Site Scanner seal.
