Using a Treo 600 with Your Email
You can always use Workspace Webmail to send and receive email messages. But you also can view your email with an email client. To access your email through a Treo™ 600, add an account with the settings outlined below.
BEFORE YOU START: To set up your Treo 600 with your email, you need to know your POP or IMAP Email Server Settings and ports. To find them, got to the HostingDude Account LOGIN and write down the information that displays under Email Server Settings.
To Use a Treo™ 600 with Your Email
- On your Treo 600, tap Mail.
- From the Select an account to set up list, select Other, and then tap Next.
- In the Account Name field, type a name to identify the account.
- In the Full Name field, type your name as you want it to display on email messages you send.
- In the Email Address field, type your full email address.
- In the User Name field, type your full email address.
- In the Password field, type your email password, then tap Next.
- In the Incoming (POP3) Server field, enter the incoming POP or IMAP server.
- In the Outgoing (SMTP) Server field, enter your outgoing server.
- Enter the following Incoming server options:
- Port
- IMAP without SSL - 143
IMAP with SSL - 993
POP without SSL - 110
POP with SSL - 995 - (Optional) Use Secure Connection (SSL)
- Select to activate
- Click Next.
- Under Outgoing Server Settings enter the following:
- Port Number
- Without SSL - one of the following: 25, 80, 3535
With SSL - 465 - (Optional) Use Secure Connection (SSL)
- Select to activate
- Use authentication (ESMTP)
- Select to activate
- Username
- Your full email address
- Password
- Your email password
- Tap Done.
