Performing Actions on Multiple Files or Folders in the FTP File Manager

You can Copy, Move, Rename, or Delete multiple files or directories using the FTP File Manager in the Hosting Control Panel.
To Perform an Action on Multiple Items in the FTP File Manager
- Log in to your HostingDude Account LOGIN.
- Click Web Hosting.
- Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Launch.
- From the Tools section, click FTP File Manager.
- Select all files and folders to which you want to apply the action. There are three ways to select multiple items:
- Select the checkbox to the left of each specific item.
- Select one item, and then, holding down the Shift key on your keyboard, select another item from the list to continue your selection. The two chosen items and all items between them are selected.
- Select one item, and then, holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, select another item from the list to continue your selection. In this way, you can add or remove single items in your selection.
- With all desired items selected, perform the preferred action.
The action is applied to all items. However, when Renaming multiple files, you are provided a list of all selected files on which you change each file name individually.
