Publishing Your Shared Hosting Web Site with Microsoft FrontPage 2003

FrontPage 2003 is a Web design application that lets you publish content to your shared hosting website.

NOTE: If your site uses advanced FrontPage features, like hit counters or forms, you must enable and upload using FrontPage extensions. For more information, see Installing and Uninstalling FrontPage Extensions. If you upload using FTP (e.g., ftp://www.coolexample.com), files that use FrontPage extensions may become corrupt. This can be remedied by reinstalling the FrontPage extensions, and then uploading through the FrontPage or SharePoint Team Services in FrontPage. To Publish website Content with FrontPage 2003

1. From the File menu, click Open Site.

   

2. Under the website tab, click Remote website and then Remote website Properties.

   

3. Under the Remote website tab, select FTP. Enter your host name, which can be found in the Hosting Control Panel. Leave the FTP directory field blank.

   

4. Select Use Passive FTP if you use a DSL connection or are publishing from behind a firewall.

   

5. Click Publish website.
