Working with Images in Express Email Marketing
When creating a campaign in Express Email Marketing®, you can add images from the Image Gallery, which includes stock images and images. For more information about uploading images, see Working with the Image Gallery in Express Email Marketing. After you add an image, you can edit the properties for the image to change how it displays in your campaign.
NOTE: You can add images, up to 10 MB in size, in .jpg, .jpeg .gif, .png, or .bmp formats.
To Add an Image to an Express Email Marketing Campaign
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Express Email Marketing.
- On the Express Email Marketing page, click Launch for the account you want to modify.
- Click
(Edit) to update recipients for a drafted campaign. Or, to create a new campaign, click Create Email Campaign. - Click the content block where you want to add the image.
- Click the Insert tab, and then click Image.
- Locate and select the image you want to add, and then click Insert.
Editing Image Properties in Express Email Marketing
You can update properties for images displayed in your template, such as the description or alignment.
To Edit Image Properties in Express Email Marketing Campaign
- Right-click the image you want to update.
- Select Insert/edit image.
- Update the information you want to change:
- Image URL — Enter a URL for images if you do not want to upload them to the gallery. The URL must be a publicly accessible website.
- Image description — Enter text to display when a Contact moves their mouse over the image.
- Alignment — Select where the image displays in the selected template block.
- Dimensions — Enter dimensions to resize the image.
- Border — Enter a number to add a solid black border to the image.
- Vertical Space — Enter a number to add a cushion of space to the top and bottom of the image.
- Horizontal Space — Enter a number to add a cushion of space to the sides of the image.
- Click Update.
Resizing Images in Express Email Marketing
Depending on the results you want, you can use different methods to resize images in Express Email Marketing:
Auto-crop to fit — When you add an image from the gallery, you can select Auto crop image to fit to make it fit the specified box in your template.
Set the dimensions — You can enter specific pixel dimensions in the image properties. Right-click on the image in your template, select Insert/edit image, and then enter Dimensions.
Click and drag — To manually resize the image, select it and then click and drag the image outline to the size you want.
NOTE:Certain browsers and/or email clients do not support displaying EEM images. Your recipients might need to click to display an image in your campaign, depending on the email client or browser they use to open your campaign.
