Viewing or Changing Your PHP Language Version
Your Linux hosting account automatically supports PHP based on the following criteria:
- PHP 4 is no longer available as of 8/1/2012.
- All new accounts only support PHP 5.
- Older accounts using PHP 4 will no longer have access to it past 8/1/12.
- You cannot downgrade any account from PHP 5 to PHP 4.
NOTE: Windows hosting accounts cannot support PHP 4, and only support PHP 5 if running IIS 7.
To View Your PHP Version
Your PHP version displays in the Server section of the Hosting Control Panel Dashboard.
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Web Hosting.
- Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Launch.
In the Server section, your PHP Version displays.
To Change Your PHP Version
You get PHP for free, and PHP 5.3 is the most recent version that meets our stability and security requirements.
- From the More menu, select Programming Languages.
- Select the PHP version you want to use, and then click Continue.
- Click Update.
NOTE: These changes usually take 7 minutes. However, it may take up to 10 minutes for these changes to take effect. These time frames are estimates and not guaranteed.
