Managing BlackBerry Hosted Exchange Email Devices
After adding a BlackBerry® device, you can add Hosted Exchange Email to it. For more information, see Activating Your BlackBerry Enterprise Server with Hosted Exchange Email.
You can also manage your password settings, activation, resend the service book, and delete or wipe it from the Hosted Exchange Control Center.
Editing BlackBerry Smartphones
You can update and change your BlackBerry's information in the Hosted Exchange Control Center.
To Edit Your BlackBerry
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click the BlackBerry Devices folder.
- Select the BlackBerry you want to edit.
- Click Edit.
- Edit the settings.
- Click OK.
Deleting BlackBerry Smartphones from Your Account
You can delete your BlackBerry from your Hosted Exchange Control Center.
To Delete Your BlackBerry
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click the BlackBerry Devices folder.
- Select the BlackBerry you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
- Select Delete Selected Device(s), and then click OK.
NOTE: Deleting a device permanently deletes the BlackBerry from the account.
Setting Passwords on Your BlackBerry Smartphone
Setting a password on a BlackBerry ensures only authorized viewers can access it when it's locked.
To Set a Password on a BlackBerry
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click the BlackBerry Devices folder.
- Select the BlackBerry you want to use.
- Click Password.
- Enter the new password.
- Click OK.
Generating Activation Codes for Your BlackBerry Smartphone
Activation codes let you enable your BlackBerry for use with the carrier for which it's set.
To Generate an Activation Code
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click the BlackBerry Devices folder.
- Select the BlackBerry you want to use.
- Click Activation.
- Click OK.
