About the Inbound Links Report
The Internet's top search engines incorporate link analysis into their ranking algorithms, so your Web page's back links (inbound links) directly affect the page's search engine ranking. The Search Engine Visibility Inbound Links report lets you determine how many links point to your Web page, and where those links originate from.
Knowing a Web page's link popularity is an essential element of a successful search engine optimization campaign. Keep in mind that not all links are created equal. Link quality, rather than quantity, is the key to top search engine rankings for your website pages. A limited number of back links from highly-rated and topically related websites will have a relatively larger impact on your search engine ranking than a large number of inbound links from lowly and/or unrelated origins.
