How does Website Protection Site Scanner identify malware?
Website Protection Site Scanner scans your published website and alerts you if your domain or any URLs in your site, such as links or image references, are flagged for malware or phishing. Site Scanner identifies malware or phishing by verifying URLs in your website with industry-trusted "reputation" resource providers, such as Google® Safe Browsing List and many others.
We even have our own internal "reputation" resource. Our security operations team identifies suspicious or malicious URLs and adds them to our database. This lets Site Scanner potentially identify suspicious links found on your site faster than anyone else.
Currently, Site Scanner does not examine your site's code or identify changes to files in your site.
