A QR code is a scannable barcode that you can place on websites and printed materials to direct viewers to a specific Web page or promotion.
QR codes are becoming a growing trend in the wireless industry. Some camera phones and most smart phones — including all iPhone®, Android®, and BlackBerry® devices — can decipher QR coding.
Consumers scan a QR code with their mobile device, and then the device's Internet browser displays the embedded information of the code, or redirects the user to a pre-determined website.
Businesses can use QR codes to capture a larger Internet audience. And in circumstances where you can see traffic statistics, QR codes can be useful for tracking the success of marketing campaigns.
