Requesting a Registrant Verification Letter from Domains By Proxy
A Registrant Verification Letter lets you prove registration for domain names with Domains By Proxy® (DBP) Private Registration, while still protecting your identity.
When you request a Registrant Verification Letter, we send a letter to the person or third-party company you specify. The letter describes DBP, verifies your domain name uses DBP, and provides the underlying registrant contact information for your domain name.
DBP charges a $15 service fee to prepare the Registrant Verification Letter. If you submit incorrect information in your original request, you will have to request another letter and pay the fee again.
Determining if You Need a Registrant Verification Letter
Before you request a Registrant Verification Letter, you should determine if you need one.
To Determine if You Need a Registrant Verification Letter
To prove domain name registration for free, you can log in to your DBP account and take a screen shot of the underlying registrant contact information.
If that won't suffice, you can contact DBP at authletter@domainsbyproxy.com and request a formal Registrant Verification Letter. In your email, explain how you will use the Registrant Verification Letter. The DBP team will evaluate the request and determine if the letter will fulfill your needs. If approved, the Registrant Verification feature displays in your account.
NOTE: Please allow two business days for a response.
