Adding Apps from Google in Website Builder
You can add apps from Google® to your Web pages in Website Builder that dramatically increase the functionality of your website. You can add these apps:
- Google Adsense® — Lets you earn money by displaying ads on your website. You track earnings with reports from Google. First, you must set up an account. To set up an account, click here.
- Google Custom Search® — Lets visitors use Google to search the Web from your website. It also searches for content within your website.
- Google Site Translator® — Lets visitors translate your website into a language they select.
To Add Google AdSense
- Log in to your HostingDude Account LOGIN.
- Click Design Your Pages.
- If necessary, from the Current Page menu, select the page you want to modify.
- Click Apps, and then drag and drop the Google Adsense icon over a Drop Zone. Drop Zones display on your Web pages when you hover over them.
- In the Publisher ID field, enter the publisher ID you received when you set up an account with Google AdSense.
- Select the ad orientation you want to use.
- Click OK.
To Add Google Custom Search
- Log in to your HostingDude Account LOGIN.
- Click Design Your Pages.
- If necessary, from the Current Page menu, select the page you want to modify.
- Click Apps, and then drag and drop the Google Custom Search icon over a Drop Zone. Drop Zones display on your Web pages when you hover over them.
- In the Search engine name field, enter the name that will display for your site search app.
- In Style field, select the colors and layout for your site search app. To select your own colors, fonts and display options, click Customize.
- Select that you have read and agree to the Google Terms of Service, and then click OK.
To Add Google Site Translator
NOTE: Google Site Translator is only available with Deluxe or Premium Website Builder accounts.
- Log in to your HostingDude Account LOGIN.
- Click Design Your Pages.
- If necessary, from the Page menu, select the page you want to modify.
- Click Apps, and then drag and drop the Google Site Translator icon over a Drop Zone. Drop Zones display on your Web pages when you hover over them.
- In the Customize section, from the Your Site's Language menu, select the language your website displays before translation.
- From Text Color field, select a color from the color picker or enter a color value, and then click Done.
- From the Background Color field, select a color from the color picker or enter a color value, and then click Done.
- To display the Google logo with the app, select Include logo.
- Click Get Widget.
To see your changes online, you must publish your website.
