Applying Premium DNS Templates to Zone Files

Premium DNS lets you create DNS templates and apply them to one or multiple zone files (domain names). If you have many domain names for which you manage the DNS, this feature lets you save time, rather than have to create zone records for each zone file individually.
After you configure a zone file template, you can apply it to one or more zone files in your Premium DNS Dashboard.
To Apply Premium DNS Templates to Zone Files
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Premium DNS.
- Next to Premium DNS, click Launch.
- Select the domain name(s) you want to apply a template to.
- From Templates, select Apply Template. The Apply a Template window displays.
- Select the template you want to apply, and then click OK. The zone records in the template apply to the zone file(s) selected.
To Apply Premium DNS Templates to Zone Files in a Folder
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Premium DNS.
- Next to Premium DNS, click Launch.
- In the Folders section, click the folder that contains the zone file(s) you want to apply a template to. The domain names in the folder display.
- Select the domain name(s) you want to apply a template to.
- From Templates, select Apply Template. The Apply a Template window displays.
- Select the template you want to apply, and then click OK. The zone records in the template apply to the zone file(s) selected in the folder.
